How can I initiate the letter?
By emailing to a special address in your personal email2postal.com account or by filling out an online form.
Where will the letters originate?
We are located in Missouri - smack dab in the middle of the United States. Your letter will be mailed at the post office and the postmark will be from the St. Louis area.
What kinds of letters may I send?
Right now, we offer standard A-1 envelopes of various colors with the letters printed on 8.5 x 11 paper. We also offer a selection of blank, hand screenprinted greeting cards for which you supply the greeting. Check out our current card offerings.
Why don't you offer.....?
As you can imagine, we too want to offer postcards, handwritten thank-you notes for tired newlyweds, etc. We have more ideas than Picasso's got paint and will do our best to unroll new services as we ramp-up our operation to meet demand. Our first goal is reliable and trustworthy letter and card mailing, and we will only add new services when we can meet the same high standards of reliability. If you have good ideas for how we can improve our offerings, just send email to ideas@emailtopostal.com.
Can I choose my own stamp?
Not at this time - we use a real stamp (no ugly bar code postage) - but usually it will simply be the generic, patriotic looking first class postage stamp.
How do I pay for the service?
If you're sending a standard letter of one to two pages with a white envelope using white paper that is laser-printed, it will cost one credit. Greeting cards, all handwritten, cost five credits to send. You can buy additional credits at any time. Any letter you initiate without sufficient credits in your account will be queued and you'll be notified to log in and purchase additional credits. One credit costs one dollar, but discounts are given for greater numbers: $10.00 - 10 credits, $20.00 - 22, $30.00 - 33, $40.00 - 45, and $100.00 - 110; .
Do my credits expire?
Credits expire 365 days after they are purchased. But we'll send email reminders about remaining credits so you won't lose the chance to use them.
How about Privacy?
Believe us, we understand. You're worried about a real human stuffing an envelope and taking a peek at your business. We have a content filter that will alert us to possibly threatening or illegal messages. This is because while we disclaim any responsibility for what our customers send through the service, we also want to be sure we are not sending threatening or illicit content. This protects you as much as us because we want our customers to be in the free world spending greenbacks on our service, not locked up in federal prison for mail infractions. For more details, feel free to review our membership agreement and our privacy policy.
